East Point, Georgia – August 22, 2002– Tenet Healthcare Foundation has awarded college scholarships to two local students, all of whom are children of South Fulton Medical Center employees.

The winners are:

Children Of Employees Scholarship winner: Regina Forbes, daughter of Maria Mantle RN

National Merit and Achievement Scholarship winner: Naureen Kabani, daughter of Anwar Kabani

This year, the Tenet Foundation awarded a total of $320,187 to 229 students of employees through the Foundation's own Children of Employees Scholarship program, as well as through continued funding of the National Merit and Achievement Scholarship programs.

The Children of Tenet Employees Scholarship program is administered for Tenet by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America Inc.

The National Merit and Achievement Programs are administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

South Fulton Medical Center, a 392-bed acute care hospital was acquired by a subsidiary of the Tenet Healthcare Corporation in April of this year, when it joined four other hospitals that comprise Tenet's greater Atlanta network.
