Inpatient Rehabilitation
The RehabCentre, established in 1992, provides inpatient rehabilitation care for patients who have suffered functional loss due to a disabling injury or illness. The RehabCentre is a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation program that includes:
- Intensive physical therapy,
- Occupational therapy,
- Speech therapy,
- Rehabilitation nursing,
- Social work,
- Case management, and
- Rehabilitation medicine services.
Our program is accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and has made a commitment to continually enhancing the quality of its services and programs and its focus on the satisfaction of the persons served.
Some of the conditions treated in rehabilitation may include:
- joint replacement
- stroke rehabilitation
- brain injury
- amputation
- sports injuries

Outpatient Rehabilitation
Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services also are provided to outpatients through our Rehabilitation Services Department. These services require an order from a physician and can be arranged by calling the department at 404-466-2200.
Special services that are available include:
- A monthly amputee clinic
- VitalStim therapy, a innovative treatment option for swallowing disorders
- Pediatric therapy services
- Upper extremity splinting
- Modified barium swallow testing
- Activity of daily living retraining
- Recommendations for adaptive and durable medical equipment
