Twelve local charities received funds

December 14, 2005 -- (EAST POINT, GA) – South Fulton Medical Center hosted a special luncheon on Dec. 14 to recognize 12 local charities that received charitable grants from South Fulton and the Tenet Healthcare Foundation.

South Fulton Medical Center’s community advisory board helped select the organizations that will be receiving funds. “Each year we receive requests from a number of local organizations that need funds,” said Christopher Hummer, chief executive officer of South Fulton Medical Center. “We work with our community advisory board to determine which organizations we will be able to help. The input from the volunteers on our advisory board is an invaluable help in this process.”

The money for the grants was provided by the Tenet Healthcare Foundation.
