Dear Patients, Friends, & Families of South Fulton Medical Center:
On behalf of each and every member of the South Fulton Medical Center family, welcome to our hospital. We are delighted that you have chosen South Fulton as your hospital of choice for medical care today.
For more than 40 years, South Fulton Medical Center has cared for the families in South Fulton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Clayton, and Douglas counties. While we are proud of this heritage, we are even prouder of the new South Fulton Medial Center, and proud that you have trusted us for your healthcare needs.
During your visit, I hope you will notice the many improvements that have been made to the hospital recently and the current projects underway. We recently opened a Progressive Care Unit for patients who are ready to leave ICU but not ready for standard medical care. We also recently renovated our Intensive Care Unit including new equipment and technology to assist us in treating our patients more effectively. We are renovating our Mother Baby Unit including the recently renovated Well Baby nursery, doubling the room in size. In early-November our new Level III NICU will open and accept patients. This means that we can now care for all premature infants and term newborns with infections, birth defects, breathing difficulties, growth restriction and other health problems. Just around the corner, after the new year, we will open our new Surgery Center which includes a new entrance, parking, pre-registration, pre-admissions, and admissions.
Whether you are here for surgery, to have a baby, or to undergo a diagnostic procedure, we are committed to serving you well, and we understand the importance of receiving quality healthcare in a caring environment. With this goal in mind, South Fulton Medical Center, a part of the Tenet Georgia family of hospitals, has implemented a program called Target 100TM. As part of this program, we are striving for 100% excellence in customer service each and every day. We continually monitor our progress by randomly surveying our patients to find out if we are reaching that goal. So please, let a staff member know if for any reason you feel our service has fallen below a level 9 on scale of 0 to 10. We want to better serve your needs, and the needs of those patients who come after you.
Warmest Regards,
James Clements
Chief Executive Officer
