New Nursing Leadership Appointments

Dana Meyer, Associate Chief Nursing Officer 
Dana received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from LaSalle University. She earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from Walden University. Dana began her career as a bedside nurse in CVICU and CCU. She has held various management positions including the Director of Telemetry Services at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital; Manager of Cardiac Services at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital; and most recently the Director of Critical Care Services at Centennial Hills Medical Center. She was hired at South Fulton Medical Center as the Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services before assuming her new role.
 
Jane Hamilton, Director of Perioperative and Procedural Services 
Jane has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Saint Joseph’s College. As a nurse, Jane worked in Pediatrics, a private psychiatric facility, a nursing home, and eventually in the ICU, and OR including Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) and Open Heart.
 
Amy Ramkhelawan, Medical/Surgical Manager (3 East) 
Amy has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. She has been with South Fulton Medical Center since 2008 as the Manager of Surgical Services. Prior to coming to SFMC, Amy was the Staff Support Manager at Emory University Hospital.
 
Juanita Smith, Telemetry Manager 

Juanita received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Education from American InterContinental University. She previously worked in nursing at Crawford Long Hospital in Medical/Surgical and Critical Care; and Grady Health System in Critical Care, NICU, and Labor and Delivery. Juanita has been in nursing for more than 20 years.

 
Tim Hargrove, Surgical Services Manager 

Tim has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from North Carolina Central University and a master’s degree in Health Administration. He currently holds certification in Surgical Nursing Care and is working towards a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. He previously worked in Emergency, Trauma, Cardiac, Surgical, Medical, Women’s Care and Pediatric nursing.
