South Fulton Medical Center Earns Heart Quality Designation
South Fulton Medical Center has received the Heart Failure CIGNA quality designation for 2010. This designation mean South Fulton has met rigorous quality criteria based on nationally recognized medical standards and expert advice.
“We are pleased that our hospital has been recognized by CIGNA for the high quality care that we provide,” says James Clements, chief executive officer for South Fulton Medical Center. “Our physicians and staff work very hard to provide quality patient care, and this designation is evidence of the high standard of care we deliver every day.”
The CIGNA designation are based on the hospital’s effectiveness in treating the selected condition or performing the procedure. The designation measures and weighs complications, mortality and The Leapfrog Group Patient Safety Index.
